Took the family out for lunch after church services- we landed up at Palmshore on Santhome High Road owned by CFGian Sajid Koyiloth. The interiors are functional, nothing fancy -intended for families. While my parents stuck to a-la carte, self wife & daughter settled on their Sunday brunch unlimited buffet menu. My wife - on a lenten induced veg diet- found the choices somewhat limited but for carnivores like my self and daughter it was a good spread consisting of some 33 items! Truly worth mentioning were the Chettinad style mutton curry & the mutton biriyani - meat was very soft and succulent as well as the Grilled chicken which was also very good. I liked the Al-faham basa fish but the salt & pepper prawns, though humongous in quantity was very bland since the spices had not permeated inside. Likewise the squid rings were deep fried and was too oily for my liking although nicely crunchy. Desserts were alright - jelly, ice cream fruit salad, gulab jamuns. Overall I would recommend this buffet as excellent value for Rs.449+ tax..

Chicken Dosa at Palmshore, Santhome High Road. Egg Dosa with Chicken Pieces as stuffing. Liked it. And best part it cost only Rs 35/- VFM alright. Masala Chicken Dosa costs Rs 120/- though. Need to try that out. Parents thoroughly enjoyed the New Year Buffet Spread at Palmshore, Santhome High Road. Had 45 dishes with lot of meat, sea food options. Priced at Rs 549 per head. Heading there today too for Lunch. Sis & BIL in town.
