Savera, Bay 146. Four of us went there on the warm Christmas evening and were welcomed by a live band from the UK. They were churning out Robbie Williams and Adele numbers and set the tone for the epic night it was. The menu was all over the place from choices from homegrown rasa vada\\\\\\\'s and pav bhajji\\\\\\\'s to the more western shrimp and hummus platters and All American Cheeseburgers. The thing that hits you the most is the wacky though interesting combinations that work ! The beverage menu was no different (Though I shall refrain from dousing into that here). We had to pay a cover charge of Rs. 750 per head that could be used towards food and alcohol. We start off with flaming shots of B-52\\\\\\\'s. My first in Chennai (Didn\\\\\\\'t know we had these here) though I\\\\\\\'m no stranger to the heat. The appetizers were all amazing (we ordered 6) - Special mention to the Garlic and pepper fish fingers and the chicken murgh tikka. The chilly lime prawns were however a huge letdown with the prawns being too small. Most of the starters were under Rs. 250 and I personally felt though the quantity was less, the quality was way above par. All starters were served with a corn cob, rice and pickle (This was new to me) and gave the impression that there was a lot on the pate. We further ordered two main courses - Grilled chicken franchise and the mixed vegetable jalapeno chilly something. They were rated at 375 and 275 and were both really good for their price. Drinks in general ranged from 135 to the most expensive Jagaermisters being 300 and cocktails in between. The ambiance was perfect! They had an outdoor area facing the pool, an indoor seating area for the small groups and another lounge like area for the 10+ groups. Given India\\\\\\\'s performance in the T20I, it was the perfect place to go, to cheer one up. The live music was what made the skyfall literally that evening and I am glad that Savera were able to find the best replacement for Sparks. The final bill came upto Rs. 12,893 including the cover and we paid the remaining 9,893 at the end. Worth a second visit anytime ! Yes, I did have a bit to drink. Cheers.

We were there for a friend's birthday evening and well, the place dint really leave an impression on me. Why? the music was loud, blaring and screaming in our ears The waiters came back after our order and kept telling us half the items we had ordered were not available, including drinks, so we ended up having Bloody mary through the evening The food was alright, found it tad oily and salty. The service was mega slow, even though they were not jam packed, it was very very slow. There was a large group that was having a kitty party of sorts and they were also so noisy. We kinda dint really have a great time. Couldnt hear each other, nor were our apettites satiated!! I am not sure if i will go back here!
