Should i rate them a 4 or a 5, or maybe a 3? That is how fluctuating my experience has been, especially offlate. When they were in the earlier location, the place used to be our adda. We used to have coffee meets, our poetry circle meet and i have even met a "guy" here!! haha.. yes. that is how much I loved the place. It was located within walking distance from Sathyam cinemas, down the road from Saravana bhavan, but alas Jan 1st 2013 they moved and are now on Whites Road. This is much closer to sathyam cinemas, opp the VW showroom inside the Corporation bank campus. The place is quite swanky, with a cafe and a store upstairs that retails clothes and accessories, primarily for women. But the products sold here are equal to designer wear in terms of style and price. There is also a section for jewellery, most of which are silver while few are gold. They are quite elegant. Apart from these, you can also shop for gifts. Coming to the cafe, they serve a wide range of food items and beverages. Earlier it was only Galettes and sandwiches, but now have expanded to serving roti, side dishes, pasta, soups and so much more. The pastry store retails the most amazing carrot cake. it was in my favorite here. Though items are priced higher than your usual coffee shop, it is worth it because the ambiance makes up for it and more. The peace and quiet, rustic furniture, the indoor air conditioned seating area, garden area and the interesting quirky art pieces are all a treat for those enjoy some "me" time. My favorite here is the Italian galette, french fries and hot chocolate. They also serve a delish ginger nectar [more of a shot drink] Do visit if you are looking for a place to do some shopping or relaxing.!!

why havent i yet written bout this hide out of mine? one of my fav places to have a rendezvous with anyone... mostly my first preference to meet someone for the first time and chill out! This place is more of a leisure lounge and not a cafe per se. The place is thoroughly meant for whiling away time, with the comfort of nature and fine breeze in the evenings, but of course not without the best of company u wud love to be with. But sometimes its jus so ideal to jus sit alone and ponder... for hours! So i shall give 5 stars for ambiance and experience but... Yes the service is almost not present, unless ur a regular and kno the waiters by name. The service is late since most people come here to spend longer periods of time. The place is for the sophisticated, priced absolutely extravagant but i guess that makes sure to filter the unwanted crowd they don wish to attract and maintain a class of their own. I kno many places that started chic but lost its class sooner than we cud imagine. The food is good, not great, you can choose the eco-cafe over amethyst in this regard, but considerin the fact that amethyst is a trend setter in such open air cafes which was followed by places by mocha, ashvita and chamiers, we have to give it to them. Anyways my favourites here are the omelletes, fruit juices, frappe!, and the yogurts. But of course if you are out to treat urself on food, this is not the place to hit! On another note, i loved the previously location, felt home there! No big difference in ambiance in here nevertheless
