Visited Tangerine after really really long to satisfy my craving for their sizzlers.Like always, I wasn't disappointed.. we had some great food and the ambiance was perfect!!! We had 4 sizzlers, 2 starters, a couple of mocktails and dessert and the bill was completely reasonable!! Definitely 'THE' place in Chennai for some great sizzlers.. :)

It had been ages since we had some nice sizzlers and off we headed to Tangerine on Murrays Gate Road. The place was crowded and we had to wait some 10 minutes to get a table. The menus were handed the moment we sat down and the staff was quick to take our order. For starters, we ordered fried prawns (coated with a beer batter, what more could one ask for!) and barbeque chicken. The barbeque chicken arrived first and was polished off in no time by the kiddos. Luckily for us, they didnt like the fried prawns much so we ended up with that one and it was quite nice. I made a mental note to self to order crab cakes during the next visit. And then we moved on to the sizzlers. While hubby played it safe by opting for Malacca (chicken and fried noodles in an Asian sauce), I decided to go for the Ceaser, chicken in a walnut and wine sauce. Hubby's sizzler was top notch and both the kiddos liked it as well. And the Ceaser I orderd was quite nice as well. But the children didnt like mine much, they found the sauce to be a bit bland, quite understandable since its not what they are used to at home. Needless to say, I didnt have to share mine The staff were courteous throughout and we had a nice time. The final bill came to 1350. So if you are in the mood to get your tongues burned with some yummy sizzlers, you know where to head....

Tangerine Revisited and it continues to remain on my favorite list. This time the food on the list was Mixed Vegetable Kandy, Vegetable stir fry and Vegetable Chutneywala with Coffee Tangerine and Blue Hawaiian. Ambience is usually quiet but yesterday was quite noisy and packed. The quantity is just right for one person and can sufficienly polish the food off if one is really hungry. I loved their potatoes with cream and the Paneer which was super delicious and soft. For the first time in my life i tasted Coffee Tangerine which is a combi of Coffee , orange and chocolate topped with cream and grated chocolate. It was very different and absolutely tasty. I am in love with their sizzlers :). A Must go if you want a little bit of me time with your friends and good on the pocket too. A meal for three cost Rs 1400 considering the quality and quantity of food i would definitely consider it worth it.

Headed to Tangerine for lunch as I wanted to try their lasagne. Unfortunately, the power was out so had to settle for sizzlers. Kids had barbequed chicken while I ordered a chicken and mushroom sizzler. Hubby opted for Chicken Malacca wwith Asian sauces. Both the sizzlers were good and had oodles of flavour. The only downside was that there was no power (some maintenance work was going on) and we had to literally sweat it out while having lunch :)
