Ingredients

Ingredients: 1/2 Kilo Chicken ( Boneless , cut into thin Slices each) 2 tsp Vinegar 1 tbsp Yogurt 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp Cornflour 1 tbsp powdered Oats 1 cup mint leaves 1/2 cup Coriander leaves 1 Small egg 5 shallots or 1 small onion 2 Green Chillies Salt to taste that would be around 2 tsp 5 to 10 Curry Leaves (optional but it does enhance the flavor) Oil for frying

Method

Method: Marinate the Chicken with ginger garlic paste ,salt,yogurt,vinegar and keep aside.Blend the mint leaves,coriander leaves,shallots,green chilies curry leaves (optional) to a very fine,thick paste.Marinate this green mixture in the already yogurt ,vinegar soaked chicken and refrigerate about an hour.Remove and add one small egg to the marinate .Make sure the egg is coated well all over the chicken pieces. Now add an egg to the Chicken and leave it for about 10 minutes to soak. Mean while powder oats and sift the cornflour and the powdered oats together. Take the individual chicken pieces coat it with a layer of the cornflour +oats mixture. Heat Oil in a Skillet and the chicken can be deep fried or Shallow fried for about 3 to 4 minutes.

    Prathap - I think Oats are added for texture. Make it more crunchy I would say. Though yes Oats is a slightly better health variant but not sure how great it is since it is fried. Anyways interesting recipe from Anusha. Must try it out!
