Ingredients

Preparation Time : 15 minutes Cooking : 15 minutes Soaking time : 20 minutes Servings - 3 to 4 Ingredients: Raw banana(plantain) - 2 nos oil - to do the shallow fry on the tawa salt - as required Turmeric powder - a pinch curry leaves - few to garnish To grind cummin seeds - 1tsp Pepper - 7 to 8 nos fennel seeds - 1 tsp onion - 1 medium size finely chopped coriander powder - 1 tbsp Red chilly powder - 2 tsp Garlic - 4 to 5 Gingelly oil - 2 tbsp

Method

Add the given item under " to grind" in the mixie jar" . Grind in to a smooth paste. Do not add water as we have added gingelly oil it will form a paste. Now peel the skin of the plantain and cut in to round shape and it should 1/2 cm thick , Do not cut thin as it will break easily while mixing the paste as well cooking. Now add the salt , turmeric powder and grinded paste. mix well so that it evenly spread the raw banana. and keep aside for 20 minutes. Now heat the tawa and pour some oil and drop one by one of the plantain in the tawa , see the below picture to get some idea. once its cooked turn in to other side and if needed pour some more oil also change the position of the plantain because center part always cook fast adjust it accordingly. Finally fry some curry leaves and temper it . serve with hot rice, some sambhar or kootu along with this curry .. U will be in heaven. I served along with Palak kootu. Note: Make sure the masala is evenly coated and cooked well otherwise u feel raw smell. Every time if u need oil just pour it , because it absorbs while cooking Thickness of the raw banana should be 1/2 so that u can cook it well otherwise it easily break the shape.
